Prince Caspian

adapted by Erina Caradus

While standing on a British railway station, Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy Pevensie are magically whisked away to a beach near an old and ruined castle. They determine the ruin is Cair Paravel, where they ruled as the Kings and Queens of Narnia, and discover the treasure vault where Peter's sword and shield, Susan's bow and arrows, and Lucy's bottle of magical cordial and dagger are stored. Susan's horn for summoning help is missing, as she left it in the woods the day they returned to England after their prior visit to Narnia. Although only a year has passed in England, 1300 years have passed in Narnia.

The children, finding Narnia is in trouble, fight to bring Prince Caspian, the rightful heir, to the throne.

The annual "Miss Yellowcoat" competition will decide who. Imagine the rivalry! Camp cleaner Peggy, meanwhile, is thrilled at the prospect of a vacancy for a new yellowcoat and convinces Entertainments Manager Jeffrey that she is the ideal candidate for the job. Ted is forced to employ numerous money-making schemes when his ex wife turns up at the camp with a bailiff in tow and Yvonne and Barry Stuart-Hargreaves send the rumour mill into its usual overdrive when Gladys is overheard escorting Jeffrey into his chalet late one evening. The classic sound with a modern twist

RHYTHM&FUSE

The Story So Far...

Rhythm and Fuse first took to the stage in June 2015 at Portsmouth’s Historic Dockyard. At an open-air concert commemorating D-Day, with air-raid sirens and spotlights filling the air, and hundreds of people dancing in the aisles, the concert was a celebration of war-time sights and songs. The music of Glenn Miller marked the moment when the Band began.

In March 2016 Rhythm and Fuse became the House Band of the New Theatre Royal in Portsmouth, and was there to perform at the end of a gala evening celebrating 160 years of the Theatre’s history.

On 8 July 2016 Rhythm and Fuse performed its first concert at the New Theatre Royal. 'The Big Band Night' gave a taste of 4 decades of big band music. In September the Band will be back at the New Theatre Royal for an evening celebrating the music of a British film icon – James Bond.

The Musicians...

Rhythm and Fuse is made up of professional musicians with years of experience performing at major venues and in front of thousands of people throughout the United Kingdom. Many of our musicians have performed internationally and alongside world famous instrumentalists and singers. The musicians in Rhythm and Fuse bring with them years of dedication and commitment to creating a quality sound at every event.

The Ambition...

Rhythm and Fuse is the classic sound with a modern twist. The Band will bring together inspirational music with film, words and images, to create a theatrical experience. So whether the Band performs at a wedding, a private function or at one of our stage shows it really will be an unforgettable fusion of rhythm, sights and sounds.

Hayling Island Amateur Dramatic Society presents:

Rope

by Patrick Hamilton

directed by Martin Stevens

For the mere sake of adventure, danger, and the "fun of the thing", student Wyndham Brandon persuades his weak minded friend, Charles Granillo, to assist him in the murder of a perfectly harmless fellow undergraduate.

They place the body in a wooden chest, and to add spice to their handiwork, invite a few acquaintances, including the dead youth's father, to a party, with the chest and its gruesome contents serving as a supper table.

The horror and tension build as the evening progresses with Brandon smoothly controlling the situation whilst his accomplice slowly begins to fall apart.

Rope, first produced and published in 1929, was filmed by Alfred Hitchcock in 1948 and remains to this day one of the classics of the thriller genre.

This amateur production of “Rope” is presented by special arrangement with SAMUEL FRENCH, LTD.
